Someone asked
What should I know before choosing a dentist for an implant?
That they will show you what they see, tell you what it costs before they start, and have placed implants for years. I am Dr. Sneha Abraham, a dentist and implantologist in Basavanagar, Bengaluru, and the founder of Alior Dental.

Who is Dr. Sneha?
I am a dentist (B.D.S.) and implantologist, FICOI. I founded Alior Dental in Basavanagar, Bengaluru, in 2025, after six years in hospitals and practices in Kolkata and Bengaluru, including Manipal Hospitals.

Where did she train?
At New Horizon Dental College and Research Institute, under the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh. I passed my B.D.S. in 2017, completed a one-year internship, and have been a registered dental surgeon since 2019.

Is she qualified to place implants?
Yes. I am a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI, 2026), and implants are the focus of my practice. I plan each one after an examination and X-rays, and show you the plan and the cost before anything begins.
A fellowship is a qualification, not a specialist degree. I practise as a dentist (B.D.S.) with a fellowship in implantology.
Where has she worked?
In a hospital and four practices over seven years, in Kolkata and then Bengaluru, before founding my own clinic.

What else do patients ask her?
Answered here, in her words. There is no chat on this page: for anything else, call or WhatsApp the clinic.
What happens at the first visit?
I look, I show you what I see, and I talk you through the options and what each one costs. Nothing is done until you have decided.
Will I know the cost before treatment starts?
Yes. I discuss the diagnosis and the cost openly, before you decide.
Can a tooth be kept instead of replaced?
Where it can be, root canal treatment treats the infection inside a tooth so the tooth itself is kept. I will explain which option fits after I have examined it.
Do you see children and families?
Yes. General and family dentistry is part of my everyday work: check-ups, cleaning, fillings and care for adults and children.
Do you offer aligners?
Yes. Aligners straighten teeth with a series of clear, removable trays. I will tell you after an examination whether they suit you.
